Atendendo a protocolo estabelecido pelo Conselho Internacional de Monumentos e Sítios -- ICOMOS, órgão assessor da Unesco para os bens culturais, um especialista esteve no Rio de Janeiro para avaliar a candidatura da cidade Janeiro como Paisagem Cultural à Lista do Patrimônio Mundial
