Drawing the Line Between Love & Integrity

Love isn't like a fairy tale, starting with all things in line,
We live in the real world, with only songs that are so fine.
Obstacles and decisions we face, and challenges, too,
For me to have love, I must say I do.

Memories of you keep me up at night,
As I think what is wrong and what is right.
I sit here and dream the possibilities,
As I draw the line between love and integrity.

For love does encompass honor and respect,
If these elements aren't there, then the love isn't perfect.
It's fighting for a lost cause or a bad inevitable,
It's something I can't control and it isn't irreversible.

Memories of you keep me up at night,
As I think what is wrong and what is right.
I sit here and dream the possibilities,
As I draw the line between love and integrity.

But all is fair in love and war, the saying was read,
Nice guys finish last and the cheaters are always ahead.
So here I take my risk for what it's worth,
Because for me, love, of all things, is always first.

Let's love the world together...
