Earthquake rescue operations, dressed-up pets and a political brawl
feature in our weekly photo retrospect.

diseases seek rehabilitation at the foundation.
2) In this photo provided by the regional government of Aysen, plumes of smoke and ash rise from the Hudson volcano in the region of Aysen
, Chile, Thursday. The Southern Andean Volcano Observatory says seismic activity related to the volcano increased starting early Tuesday night.
The Hudson volcano lies 995 miles (1,600 kilometers) south of Chile's capital, Santiago. It last erupted in August 1991,
causing millions in damages to local farms and killing an estimated 1.5 million sheep. Chile has about 3,000 volcanos,
500 of which are considered geologically active.
3) Smoke rise from burning tyres at the Periferico Avenue in Guatemala City. Protesters gathered to demonstrate to demand that
Congress pass the Law 38-69 housing law. The law will guarantee adequate housing, services and infrastructure for people living in
informal settlements without basic services, local media reported.
4) Turkish rescuers pull 13-year-old Ferhat Tokay from the rubble of a collapsed building 108 hours after Sunday's 7.2-magnitude quake
hit eastern Turkey, in Ercis, Turkey, early Friday. Officials say the death toll in the massive earthquake in eastern Turkey has gone up to 570.
5) Queen Elizabeth II accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh waves from a tram through Melbourne, Australia,
as they visit Federation Square in the city on Wednesday.
6) A commuter makes his way to work through flooded streets after torrential rain resulted in the major emergency plan
being invoked in the County Dublin region on 25 October.

8) Second World War veteran 90 year old William Walker launches the Scottish Poppy Appeal with Soldiers from the Royal Highland Fusiliers,
2nd Battalion the Royal Regiment of Scotland on October 27, 2011 in Penicuick, Scotland. Mr Walker, who was wounded while serving in Burma
in 1943 with the Royal Scots, helped the soldiers form the shape of the number ninety to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the
annual November campaign of remembrance.
9) Brooklyn-based performance artist Marni Kotak, who plans to give birth to her first child in front of a public audience at the Microscope Gallery
in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, is shown leaning on a birthing pool at the gallery, which has been converted into a birthing room in New York.

`6) Turkish rescuers carry Azra Karaduman, a two-week-old baby girl they have saved from under debris of a collapsed building in Ercis,
Van, eastern Turkey, Tuesday. The baby's mother, Semiha, was still alive, pinned next to a sofa inside the flattened building
from where the child was rescued. A 7.2-magnitude earthquake toppled some 2,000 buildings in eastern Turkey.
