Precious Jewels

It tells an ancient Arabian legend, a rabbi,
dedicated religious, lived very happily with his family.

Wonderful wife and two dear children.

Once, on imperative grounds of religion,
Rabbi undertook long trip is gone away
home for several days.
During the time he was absent,
a serious accident caused the death of two beloved children.

The mother felt her heart torn with pain.
However,
for being a strong woman, sustained by faith and
by trust in God bore the shock bravely.

However, a concern he came to mind: how to
the sad news to her husband?

Knowing the patient with heart failure,
feared that would not support such a commotion.
He remembered a prayer.

He begged God to help resolve the difficult question.
A few days later, in late afternoon,
Rabbi returned home.

Long embraced his wife and asked the children ...

She asked him not to worry.
To take your bath, and soon after
she would tell the boys.

A few minutes later they were both seated at the table.
She asked him about the trip, and soon he
asked again for the children.

His wife, an attitude somewhat embarrassed,
responded to her husband:

Let the children.
First I want to help me
solve a problem that I consider serious.

Her husband, already a little worried asked:
What happened? I noticed you killed!
Speak!

Solve together, with God's help.

While you were away, a friend of ours
visited me and left two jewels of inestimable value,
for the safekeeping.
The jewels are so precious!

I have never seen anything so beautiful!
That's the problem!
He comes to get them and I'm not willing to return them,
for I am afeiçoei them.
What do you say?

But woman!
I do not understand your behavior!
You never cultivated vanities! ...
Why this now?

It had never seen jewelry like this!
They are wonderful!

May be, but do not belong to you!
You will have to return them.
But I can not accept the idea of losing them!

And the rabbi replied firmly:

No one loses what has not.

Withhold them would be tantamount to theft!

We will return them, I'll help.
We will do this together today.

Well, my dear, your will be done.

The treasure will be returned.
In fact it has been done.

The precious jewels were our children.
God has entrusted to our care, and during
their trip came to pick them up they are gone.

The rabbi got the message.
He hugged his wife,
together and shed big tears.

Maybe our lives would be much quieter
we understood that all we have been given by God.
